Mighty Ships - Yasin Bey

Mighty Ships is a documentary television program produced by Exploration Production Inc. in Canada and aired on Discovery Channel Canada and also broadcast around the world. Each episode of the series follows a particular sea-going vessel and provides an insight into the ship and its crew.
I had the great opportunity to entirely 3D Model, Unwrap and Texture both the original version of the Ship called Beluga Intonation and the transformed version Yasin Bey with every little detail myself.
It was privilege to work with Kerosene VFx Team and Discovery Channel Canada to make this great episode.

Beluga Intonation
Beluga Intonation was a general cargo carrier ship before it was purchased by another company to be converted into a Powership to supply electricity to the power grid on Ambon.
First Beluga Intonation was modeled completely with every detail. Later on I modeled the conversion to Yasin Bey Powership model with its new details and looks.
I modeled and unwrapped the 3D Models in Maya, Textured in Redshift and Photoshop and prepared for animation, rendering and compositing with appropriate naming convention and grouping.
During this time I worked together with the talented team of professionals and delivered my assets exactly how they wanted.
I also helped Discovery Channel Canada with the Turkish to English translation of the shots they have taken on site and had the wonderful opportunity to see their Toronto office.
